Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a hilltop town where art and time stay

#July Travel Support Fund Saint-Paul-de-Vence was a small town that seemed like it was hidden in a fairy tale, just a little outside of Nice. The stone walls welcomed us from the entrance, and the moment we stepped inside, we felt like we had gone back hundreds of years in time. The narrow, winding alleyways retained their medieval appearance. Vines and flowers were growing naturally on the walls, and artists were working in small workshops and ateliers. Traces of artists like Chagall, Matisse, and Picasso remained throughout the town, and it felt like we were walking with them every time we walked. The Fondation Magh Museum was a must-see. The museum garden and works of art in harmony with nature perfectly matched the quiet atmosphere of the town. The hillside view from outside the building and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance were like a painting. When we climbed up to the observation deck at the end of the town, we could see Nice and the sea at a glance. Looking at the scenery while feeling the warm breeze, it felt like the trip was complete without doing anything. Finally, I enjoyed the leisurely pace of this town with a glass of wine and olives at a small cafe under the ramparts. Saint-Paul-de-Vence is not a tourist destination, but a place that fills your heart just by staying there for a while.
