Nice is a place where you can fully experience the charm of southern France. From the moment I landed at the airport, the deep blue Mediterranean, warm sunlight, and the picturesque scenery of red-roofed buildings captivated me, marking the perfect start to my journey. I first took a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais. The seaside walkway was accompanied by a gentle breeze and the soothing sound of waves. Simply sitting on a white chair and gazing at the cobalt-blue sea was enough to bring happiness. The narrow streets of Old Town (Vieux Nice) were brimming with the vibrant energy of Nice. Lined with yellow and orange-hued buildings, the alleys were filled with quaint cafes and shops. At the Cours Saleya market, the fresh scent of fruits, flowers, and herbs filled the air, offering a glimpse into the daily life of the locals. Climbing up to the Colline du Château (Castle Hill) viewpoint, I was greeted with a panoramic view of Nice's beach, the old town, and the endless Mediterranean stretching into the distance. At sunset, the sky and sea turned a romantic shade of red, as if straight out of a movie scene. To end the day, I enjoyed a seafood platter paired with rosé wine at a beachfront restaurant. Nice is a city where you don't need a detailed itinerary; simply taking your time to enjoy the sea and the charming streets is more than enough to feel content.
