We entered Xiamen University just as the morning light filtered softly through the banyan trees, the air still cool with a hint of salt from the nearby sea 🌳📚🌊. The campus stretched wide and green, where old red-brick buildings stood with quiet pride beside lotus-filled lakes and shaded courtyards. Students cycled past with ease, their laughter trailing behind like notes in a familiar song. We wandered along Furong Lake, its surface dotted with lotus leaves and the occasional ripple of fish beneath the water 🌸🚴♂️🍃. The rooftops of the Jiageng-style architecture peeked elegantly above the treetops, blending tradition with the rhythm of student life.
