The Tangwanghe Stone Forest Scenic Area was formed from massive granite bedrock deposits created by the Indosinian orogeny 250 million years ago. After hundreds of millions of years of tectonic plate compression, crustal uplift, water erosion, and weathering, it has developed into today's unique Tangwanghe granite peak forest formation. 🎫 Tickets: Adults 95 RMB (includes round-trip shuttle), Children half-price No physical tickets issued, remember to bring your ID! Board the shuttle immediately upon entering, enjoying views of clouds, forests, and water along the long ride to the One-Line Sky entrance. After exploring One-Line Sky, head left towards Maitreya Summit (2,500m total distance). We took over two hours with photo stops and breaks. Kids played in Tangwanghe River at the summit before we turned back. Many visitors spend 7 hours here leisurely: After Maitreya Summit, hike counterclockwise through Adventure Valley and Forest Sea Guanyin, then follow the Oxygen Bar Corridor back to the shuttle point at One-Line Sky to exit, covering all highlights. The Botanical Garden is reportedly large but boring (though chipmunks may appear there - bring some sunflower seeds). The trail to Maitreya Summit was nearly deserted (as seen in photos), offering fantastic unobstructed views and a relaxed pace. Squirrels occasionally appeared but were shyer than those in Wuying Forest Park.
