The tamest squirrels

Terrace Gardens just opposite the river Thames in Richmond-upon-Thames, London, is a very tranquil, beautiful park on a steep hill.It is filled with an array of beautiful flowers - the gardeners can be seen here most days working really hard.The best thing about this place though are the squirrels: rattle a bag of shelled peanuts & they run down the trees right up to you - they are so tame......It is such fun watching them remove the shells & munch on the peanuts, & also bury some of the peanuts for later.....I have never been anywhere where the squirrels are tame enough to come really close. I can highly recommend this place - it is accessible by walling along the river Thames or by walking towards Richmond Hill (walking on an inclining pavement towards Richmond Park).Views from the higher area of Terrace gardens are of the river Thames, & Twickenham stadium can be seen in the distance.#thamesriver
