3 days in Palm Springs

Was in California for work for a few days and drove by Palm Springs. Joshua Tree national park was the natural attraction and that could easily eat up a day (and if you drove from Lax airport it should eat up a tank of gasoline too). You come here for the rocks, the mountains, and of course for the eccentric flora, including the namesake Joshua tree. Other destinations in the periphery include the cable car leading up to San Jacinto mountain. It is easily overflowing with people I’d say go early. There are a couple of nice botanical gardens like Moorten as well as a museum featuring fighter jets and ww2 planes. Add this altogether you shd have three days. Hotels are not cheap, but you will most likely drive and will be able to pickup some nice airbnbs in nearby townships. I stayed in Morongo valley.
