During this visit to Osaka, I made sure to set aside time to explore Tennoji Park, and it did not disappoint! Opened in 1909, this historic park is located at the foot of the Abeno Harukas building, seamlessly blending modernity with nature. One of the park's highlights is Keitakuen Garden—a meticulously designed Japanese garden featuring wooden pavilions, fountains, and a rose archway that forms a stunning floral path, beautiful in every season. The Chausuyama Kofun tells the ancient history of Osaka, with its Edo-period architectural charm leaving visitors in awe. If you're visiting with kids, the Tennoji Zoo is a must-see. From the unique calls of the laughing kookaburra to the adorable kiwi birds, and even the chance to observe hippos up close through a transparent pool, children will have an absolute blast! What makes this park even more special is its proximity to the Tsutenkaku Tower and Shinsekai district, which are within walking distance. In the evening, you can enjoy a picnic on the grass while watching the sunset paint Osaka's skyline in hues of red—an experience both romantic and relaxing.
