[Onsen Prefecture Oita] Arashiyama Taki Shrine & Mikazuki Falls - Relax with the beautiful flower water fountain

Mikazuki Falls was named after the crescent-shaped curve of the waterfall, and it has a drop of 10 meters. The sad story of how Emperor Daigo's granddaughter, Komatsu Join, who had been pursuing Kiyohara Masataka, jumped into the water with her maid after falling in love with him despite their differences in status, remains at Mikazuki Falls. At Arashiyamataki Shrine, located right next to the falls, Komatsu Join and 11 maids are enshrined. The flower water basin is decorated with colorful flowers. There are also autumn leaves in the water, and I was entranced by its beauty for a while.
