Escaping the 38°C heat in Shijiazhuang! The rustic mountains are so comfortable~

This time, we took the elderly and kids to escape the 38°C heat in Shijiazhuang and vacationed deep in the ancient mountains of Jingxing. It turned out to be such a wise decision—everyone had a fantastic time! We’ve stayed at the Yujian-designed homestay in Suzhou before, and this time it didn’t disappoint either. A Suzhou designer × Jingxing cave dwellings with panoramic glass windows, mountain-view terraces, and a rooftop pool—every shot is Instagram-worthy 📸. The infinity pool backed by the mountains is absolutely stunning! The kids played for two hours straight and didn’t want to leave, looking back every few steps when we finally had to go. Just one floor below the homestay is the Guoran Yue Café, a double-level artistic space transformed from cave dwellings. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by a strong Chinese aesthetic, a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern coffee culture! I ordered an iced Americano and a hot latte—both were spot-on and highly recommended! When it was time for meals, the front desk arranged a shuttle to take us to the Cu Can Guan restaurant. Interestingly, my family had dined here a couple of years ago for a gathering, and this time we stumbled upon it again—what a coincidence! This mountaintop restaurant serves authentic Jingxing countryside dishes. We devoured every bite of the wild chives with free-range eggs, farm-style stir-fried chicken, and braised pork with secret sauce, hehe. We heard there’s also a 700-acre organic orchard where you can pick cherries, apples, pomegranates, and peaches. The owner even offers trips to Xiaonanshan for a bird’s-eye view of the ancient village and the Caoquan Fortress Cluster. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time for these activities this time, but we’ll make up for it next visit—this place is so amazing, I’ll definitely be back! Shijiazhuang is stepping up its game! Jingxing is a must-visit!
