The Most Beautiful Spot on the Northwest Grand Loop, No Arguments Accepted

Ending the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop, When it comes to my favorite stop, or the one that exceeded my expectations, I must recommend the Water Yadan! Especially the "Eye of Yadan" deep within the Water Yadan. The golden desert and the blue-green inland river create a unique Water Yadan spectacle. Standing on the elevated viewing platform, You can take in the breathtaking and magnificent scenery! Location: Water Yadan 🎫 Tickets: Entrance fee 60 RMB/person + Sightseeing bus 60 RMB/person ⌚️ Recommended visit duration: 3-4 hours 📷 Tips for visiting and photography: 1️⃣ The most photogenic spot at Water Yadan is the "Eye of Yadan." Standing on the raised mound in the desert, you can capture stunning aerial views even without a drone. 2️⃣ Water Yadan has four stations: "Golden Beach," "Western Fleet," "Penglai Fairy Island," and "Sea Viewing Platform." Except for "Golden Beach," which is within walking distance, the other stations are quite far apart. It is recommended to take the scenic area's sightseeing bus directly to the "Sea Viewing Platform" station, and then choose to reach the Eye of Yadan by mountain off-road vehicle, camel, or walking. I personally chose to walk. Note not to follow the camel route, as camels do not go to the Eye of Yadan. Simply approach the water near the Eye of Yadan, follow your phone's GPS, and walk along the vehicle tracks and human footprints to reach the spot. It takes about 30-40 minutes. Along the way, you can capture many beautiful shots of camels walking in the desert and off-road vehicles driving through the sands. 3️⃣ If you have a drone, bring it along. Once you reach the Eye of Yadan, you can capture aerial shots of the vast and stunning Water Yadan landscape. 4️⃣ Besides viewing Water Yadan, there are many seagulls near the scenic entrance and the Sea Viewing Platform. If visiting with children, consider bringing some bread to feed the seagulls. 5️⃣ Bring mosquito repellent, as some visitors have reported encountering many mosquitoes in the area. However, during my visit, I did not encounter any mosquitoes.
