#batamguide One of the most iconic landmarks on Batam Island is Barelang Bridge I, officially known as the Tengku Fisabilillah Bridge. Located approximately 35 kilometers from Batam City, it’s a must-see destination for visitors. We visited the bridge in the late afternoon, just before enjoying dinner at Barelang Seafood Restaurant, one of the largest and most popular seafood spots in Batam. Spanning 642 meters, this impressive cable-stayed bridge connects Batam Island to Tonton Island and is the longest of the six bridges in the Barelang chain. Its elegant design, reminiscent of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, provides stunning panoramic views of the surrounding seascape. Along the way, you’ll find local vendors selling tasty treats like grilled corn and fresh coconut water—perfect for a quick refreshment as you take in the scenery.
