In the heat of a Chengdu summer, the stone pathways of Wuhou Shrine led us through shaded courtyards and towering cypress trees, their silence echoing the wisdom of Zhuge Liang. Crimson walls wrapped around carved halls and ancient tablets, while incense drifted gently through the air. We moved slowly beneath dragon-tiled roofs, where the past seemed to linger with every creak of the floor. 🏮🧧🌿 Busts of Liu Bei and other legendary figures stood in solemn grace, surrounded by gold-lettered plaques and murals of battle and strategy. Outside, koi ponds shimmered beneath lotus leaves, and history lovers sat quietly reading by the breeze.
