Okinawa Must-Visit Spot (Part 4): American Village

🇺🇸🏖️ American Village is a district designed to mimic the vibe of the U.S. West Coast, and while it's quite commercialized, it's still worth a visit. It's especially nice to go in the late afternoon, close to sunset, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset. The area is filled with various boutique and souvenir shops that are fun to explore. Sunset Beach has several popular coffee shops that attract many visitors, but we decided not to join the crowd. In the evening, we dined at Grilled Fukugyu Restaurant, a local Okinawan yakiniku spot specializing in Fukugyu beef. The taste was decent, though not particularly impressive, likely due to its location in such a large commercial area catering mainly to tourists. Before heading to American Village, we made a quick stop at Michinoeki Kadena Observation Deck in Kadena. The observation deck is open to the public, and if you happen to visit during training hours, you can witness frequent takeoffs and landings. ✈️📸
