Well you can consider going by zermatt towards rothorn via a gondola ride to Blauherd and there after the last stop at rothorn which is the highest viewpoint(above 3000m high) in zermatt where it has relatively good accessibility. Rothorn is also a great lace for hiking and biking during the summer, spring and fall season where you will be able to catch a glimpse of the many scenery this place has to offer. During this time two years ago, I spent my time in Switzerland😭😭 Although the mountains of Switzerland are always covered with dark clouds in winter, and there will be rain and snow. If you are a local international student in Switzerland, I really recommend that you apply for a student card. This is a matter of sunk cost! We spent 70 Swiss on a day pass from Montreux to Zermatt, and the result was! You need to buy a separate train ticket to visit the Matterhorn, which costs 78 Swiss francs for a round trip! I spent 1 night and 2 days in Zermatt, the jewel of the Swiss Alps. This destination is perfect for a short trip, offering convenient travel without a car, breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, and a cozy atmosphere. Day 1: First Encounter with the Matterhorn I stayed at Hotel Alpenhof, which boasts an incredible view of the Matterhorn. In the afternoon, I took the highest mountain railway in Europe to the Gornergrat summit (3,089m). The snow-covered Matterhorn and the glacier views from the observation deck made for unforgettable photos. For dinner, I enjoyed traditional Swiss cheese fondue and raclette at Restaurant Schäferstube in the town center. Day 2: Morning in the Alps and a Scenic Walk Watching the sunrise over the Matterhorn from the hotel balcony was magical. Early in the morning, I hiked the trail connecting five lakes. The reflection of the Matterhorn in Stellisee Lake was absolutely stunning! (A bus is available for part of the route.) After hiking down from Riffelalp, I wrapped up the trip with Swiss chocolate and coffee at a local café. Zermatt is a place where you can experience the essence of the Alps even on a short trip. 🗓️Itinerary🗓️ 🚃Bern ↓ 🚃Visp ↓ 🚃Zermatt (Travel time: 2 hours 10 minutes/using Swiss Travel Pass) I left Bern station and first moved to Visp for about an hour. However, there was some trouble when I left Bern station, so I was delayed by 10 minutes💦💦 I only had 6 minutes to transfer at Visp, so I hoped to make up for it, but it didn't work😇 I didn't need to rush, so I decided to just take the next train at Visp. On the train to Visp, there were many people who had to transfer, so I asked the attendant if we would make it in time, but he said, "You'll be fine!" lol. In the end, we didn't make it at all, and everyone took the next train 🤭 Then, the train from Visp to Zermatt was moving slowly and didn't move at all 😅 The journey from Bern to Zermatt takes 2 hours and 10 minutes In the end, it took a little over 3 hours 🤭 Troubles like this are inevitable when traveling 👍🏻 Although we were late, we arrived at Zermatt before sunset ⛰️ I was thinking of having dinner at the supermarket, so I went to the coop first 🛒 (the coop closes at 8pm) I bought dinner and checked into the hotel to put my luggage down ✅ After putting my luggage down, I headed to the Japanese Bridge, where I could get a good view of the Matterhorn!
