Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare

In Spain, Renfe provides significant fare discounts for large families: 20% for general category families and 50% for special category families. These discounts are applicable on AVE and Larga Distancia trains but do not extend to AVE International, Avant, or Cercanías routes. Single-parent families in Catalonia may also receive discounts on Rodalies services with the appropriate Generalitat certification.

Renfe Group Fare

Renfe offers group travel discounts, with an 8% discount for groups of 4 to 9 people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains. Groups of 10 to 25 people can get up to a 50% discount on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains. For groups of more than 25 people, a quote can be submitted for approval. Note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If you need to cancel, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, with an applicable fee.

Renfe Young Persons Fare

For young people aged 14 to 25, Renfe offers up to 30% off train fares with the Más Renfe Joven Card, costing €50. Valid for a year and non-transferable, this card provides a 30% discount on AVE and AVE international trains. Additionally, get a 25% discount on Avant, Cercanías, and Rodalies trains.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

Renfe's Tarjeta Dorada offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. You can get a 25% discount on AVE and AVE international trains. For Avant trains, discounts vary: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. All services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets, and the same rules apply for changes and refunds.
