Wandering Through Time in Stari Bar
#summervacay Stari Bar, tucked up in the hills of Bar Municipality, seriously feels like stepping into a forgotten world. It's all ancient stone walls, crumbling towers, and narrow cobbled paths with views that make you stop and just stare. The old fortress ruins are huge, way bigger than I expected, and the backdrop of mountains makes everything look even more dramatic.
There’s a small entrance fee, but it’s totally worth it. You can explore at your own pace, climb old walls, peek into churches, and imagine what life was like centuries ago. There's also this super old aqueduct still standing, which is kind of wild.
Just outside the ruins, there’s a cute little area with cafes and local shops, perfect for a cold drink or some pomegranate juice (highly recommend).
If you’re into history, ruins, or just want a chill, slightly mystical walk through Montenegro’s past, Stari Bar is a must. Not touristy, just authentic and awesome.
