Bibingka Bliss at Yael’s
Nestled in the heart of San Pablo, Yael’s offers a delightful homage to traditional Filipino holiday treats—bibingka and puto bumbong—with a touch of warmth and authenticity that transports you to a simpler time. The bibingka is wonderfully soft, with a tender crumb that hints at freshly ground rice flour, while the salted egg and grated coconut topping strike a perfect balance between savory and sweet. Its aroma alone—a fusion of banana leaf and coconut milk—is enough to evoke feelings of nostalgia, especially for those who grew up enjoying this delicacy during Simbang Gabi.
The puto bumbong, on the other hand, is a showstopper in its own right. Yael’s version boasts a vibrant purple hue and a distinct chewy texture, achieved through careful preparation and steaming in traditional bamboo tubes. Served piping hot and generously topped with muscovado sugar, grated coconut, and melted butter, it delivers a rich, earthy sweetness that lingers pleasantly. It’s the kind of snack that begs to be paired with a warm cup of salabat or tsokolate, making it a comforting indulgence in any season.
What truly sets Yael’s apart, though, is the sincerity of its service and the rustic, homestyle ambiance. The staff are courteous and accommodating, often going the extra mile to ensure guests feel at home. Whether you’re a local or a traveler passing through San Pablo, a visit to Yael’s for their bibingka and puto bumbong is more than just a culinary stop—it’s a warm and delicious cultural experience that captures the soul of Filipino tradition.#takbology #teamramosonthego

Nestled just behind the city hall, this volcanic crater lake spans over 100 hectares and is surrounded by a well-maintained 3.7-kilometer pathway perfect for walking, jogging, or cycling. Affordable Brews, Cozy Views
Review of But First, Coffee – Maharlika Highway, San Pablo City
But First, Coffee along Maharlika Highway in San Pablo City is a cozy and modern café that’s perfect for relaxing or getting work done. Located near the new BDO branch in the LLT Building, it’s easy to find and accessible. The café has strong air-conditioning, making it a great escape from the heat, and its spacious second floor offers more seating when the ground floor gets busy.
Their drinks are both affordable and delicious. Favorites like the caramel macchiato and Spanish latte are smooth and flavorful, and most 16 oz drinks cost under ₱150. They also serve a good selection of food, including croffles, croissants, and pasta. While some customers have mentioned small issues like loose drink lids or lukewarm pasta, the quality of the coffee and the friendliness of the baristas still stand out.
For those who plan to stay longer, the café could be improved by adding more electrical outlets and ensuring a stable internet connection during busy hours. Despite these minor suggestions, But First, Coffee remains a great choice for students, remote workers, or anyone who simply enjoys good coffee in a clean, welcoming space. #takbology #teamramosonthego

A peaceful and beautiful view in San Pablo Laguna
the heart of San Pablo
I've first visited this lake few months ago. My very first impression was that the lake seems so "strong" and "mysterious" after talking to the locals ...It is strong because of the unusual waves that reflects the current underneath...You will really think many many times before swimming into its water...Well, it is a mysterious lake according to the local stories that people were disappearing in the lake without trace while while swimming underneath...Their "conclusion" but yet to be discovered is that a "tunnel" at the bottom of the lake flows to the ocean and might have "sucked" those "missing" people...Nobody really knows but it adds up to some kind of excitement to visit this beautiful lake at the base of another mysterious mountain which is the Mt Banahaw...
Jogging and renting a bike is okay. Foods here are pricey but you can pack your own lunch 'cause they have rock chairs and tables there. Expect beggars to approach you while you are eating.
Simple yet
Simple yet another unforgettable moment with close friends. #falls #happinessisluxuries
