Top priority when visiting Wudang Mountain: Reach the summit to burn incense and pray 🙏 For Wudang Golden Summit, plan a 3-day, 2-night trip To conserve energy and avoid exhausting climbs, Take the shuttle directly to Qiongtai Station, then ride the cable car to Golden Summit Wudang Mountain's commercial vibe is refreshingly light— Perfect for spiritual cultivation! 1️⃣ After arriving at Shiyan Station or Wudangshan Station, Take a bus to Wudang Mountain entrance Purchase a full pass (includes unlimited shuttle rides) Golden Summit cable car round-trip: 💰150, or hike 6 hours I prefer the cable car—saves time, and an early ascent shows sincerity 👏 So I headed straight to Qiongtai After travel fatigue, rested briefly at the hotel Explored nearby to get oriented Unwound with afternoon tea— Taoist youth sipping Taoist Bagua coffee ☕️🎉 Stayed at the year-old 【Cloud Beyond Homestay】 Wabi-sabi aesthetic, deeply atmospheric Facing Qiongtai parking lot for easy access Best part? Returned for hearty hotel breakfast—bliss! P.S. No need to hire a tour guide Experience of hiring a tour guide: It was my first time to Wudang Mountain. I asked a tour guide to explain the local Taoist culture. I discussed our planned itinerary with the female tour guide in the morning, but she told me that the route of the itinerary (Mingshen Road) was closed due to road construction. We asked if we could take the Qingshen Road. She replied that the Qingshen Road was for special cableway maintenance personnel. After that, we had to give up the scheduled itinerary and set off. As a result, the female tour guide kept asking us if we were interested in Zhouyi from the beginning of the cableway entrance. We directly said that we were not interested. Because there are two entrances to the cableway boarding area, one of which is a place for tourists to buy souvenirs. The tour guide took us around a long circle before entering the cableway boarding entrance; the place for lunch was Taizipo, but it was much more expensive than the local merchants in Nanyan. The price was not written until you ordered the dishes (a plate of fried twice-cooked pork cost 170 yuan, and I ordered four dishes and a soup...). This time I really learned a lesson by hiring a tour guide. The next day, I took the Mingshen Road itinerary by myself. There was no road construction at all, so you really have to be careful when hiring a tour guide.
