Starting from Beppu, where JR Pass holders can easily book tickets at the counter, I boarded with excitement and zero hassle. Yufuin and Bungo Mori Depot are really high and blue. It's a really pretty and dreamy Japanese small city. While you're going to Yufuin, I recommend you also go to Bungo Mori Depot, the background of Suzume MoonSquadron. It's so pretty. Yufuin's town itself is so pretty that it's great for a walk in the morning or evening after a drink. If you're going to Fukuoka, I definitely recommend going to Yufuin.

The hostel offers a free shuttle service, which is approximately a 5-minute drive from the train station. There are only ten rooms in Wu Yihong. #MarchGoodPlaces2025 The Kyushu Automobile History Museum is located in Yufuin and displays antique cars from the 1920s to the 1980s. This is the only museum in Kyushu that introduces cars. There are about 70 antique cars on display on the upper and lower floors. Most of the cars are from the 1950s and 1960s, and the latest are probably from the 1970s. You can take pictures of all the cars in the exhibition hall, but you can't touch them ~ after all, they are antiques. There are coin-operated cars for children to ride at the main entrance, and a small helicopter on the second floor. The coin slots are very retro, upright types. It feels like entering a time tunnel

#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Yufuin is really a great place to relax, no wonder it is a favorite hot spring resort for both Japanese and Chinese. If you are not staying in a hot spring hotel, you can go to the spa for day, but not every hotel provides day spas, and not all hotels have open-air views. I chose the Sansuikan Onsen Hotel in Yufuin. The highlight of this hot spring hotel is that it has a semi-open-air hot spring from which you can overlook the scenery of Mount Yufu in the distance, and it is super beautiful... Because it is about 8 minutes walk from the station, it is very convenient. I recommend it to people who don’t have accommodation to come and take a bath. I bought a ticket from the self-service machine and the bathing fee was 1,000 yen, which was not cheap, but I felt it was worth it. There are 4 indoor pools + 2 outdoor pools, and a sauna for male guests. The open-air pool has a nice view, and the changing rooms are well-equipped with everything you need for hair, body and face painting. Take a dip in the open-air hot spring first, it will be very comfortable and your trip to Yufuin will not be in vain!

One of the most anticipated transportation experiences during my visit to Kyushu, Japan, was taking the popular sightseeing train "Yufuin-no-Mori" from Hakata to Yufuin and Beppu in Oita Prefecture. The booking process for this train is actually very simple. I selected the departure time and seat through the official website of JR Kyushu, and received a confirmation email after payment. After boarding the Yufuin-no-Mori train, the atmosphere in the entire carriage made me feel very relaxed. The interior of the train has a strong European and elegant style. There are many pictures of Yufuin scenery and some exquisite details on the decoration. Walking in it feels like walking in the forest. The overall atmosphere makes people feel very comfortable. We stayed at APA Hotel Hakata Higashihie Ekimae, just 2 train stations from the airport. - Then go to Teamlab Forest Fukuoka. The building has a restaurant. Stop to eat at the mall before going in. - The first day, go shopping at the mall because I didn't prepare clothes. Day 2: - Go to Uminonakamiji Aquarium. There is a dolphin show and a penguin show.
