Now, Sanyi Temple is easy to find, completely 'exposed' on the street corner. Heping Street Sanyi Temple was originally built during the Ming dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing dynasty, but has become dilapidated over the years. The main hall of the temple has three rooms, facing east with the back to the west. The temple's roof is covered with yellow and green glazed tiles, indicating a high status. It is currently the only ancient building with a colored glazed tile roof in Yanqing District. There used to be a well in front of Sanyi Temple, but it was later sealed (where the tap is now). On the east and west sides of the gable walls on both sides, there are brick carvings, finely crafted, with patterns of the Eight Immortals, said to be relics of the temple. Sanyi Temple mainly worships the three sworn brothers known for their loyalty and righteousness from the Peach Garden: Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei. On the north and south gable walls, there are still murals related to the Three Kingdoms theme. It is said that each wall is painted with three rows of murals, eight murals per row, each mural depicting a story, with the name of the story written on it, totaling 48 stories on both walls.
