Even though it's a huge and majestic church just like St. Stephen's Cathedral, there are no people there! You can take as many photos as you like 🤳 Inside the shop, a young man said, "Hello, do you speak English? I just want to explain the products to you." He gave me a sales pitch that was not pushy and made me want to listen. He was selling Christmas decorations made from olive wood, and they were shiny and beautiful! He was a friendly and kind person. The detailed decorations unique to Gothic architecture when seen from the outside and the beauty of the stained glass when seen from inside are breathtaking. The shape of the stained glass is somewhat reminiscent of Notre Dame Cathedral... Is this Gothic architecture? Hundertwasser House, a uniquely designed architectural masterpiece, was created by the Austrian artist and design genius Friedensreich Hundertwasser. It fully embodies his design philosophy with its vibrant colors, irregular shapes, and asymmetrical patterns, making it truly distinctive. Votive Church, a Gothic-style building, features two towering spires. In front of the church lies a grassy area, perfect for sitting quietly and enjoying the view. Plachutta Wollzeile, recommended for dinner, offers Austria's famous beef pot dish. It's definitely worth trying, as the meat is tender and not dry.

Vienna in February was truly a dream. It has always been my dream to ice-skate in outdoor Vienna and Wiener Eistraum was super pretty. There were lockers available for rent but I just hid my shoes behind a bench. 😆 There was also curling but I didn’t try. I could have stayed a few hours but the rental boots were too stiff. I then walked to Votive Church for Light of Creation show. It was very pretty and really enjoyable the first 15 minutes then it started to feel a bit long. I would recommend the seats towards the back so you can see the whole show without flipping your head back! And breakfast at Cafe Gertsner! It was so delicious I’m still dreaming about it! The setting was gorgeous. Another iconic cafe that everyone should visit is Cafe Central. Reservations highly recommended for both places.

#aprilblooms Spring is one of the best season to travel to Vienna. The city is in full bloom and every district has pretty magnolias, sakura or spring flowers. I’m obsessed with magnolia trees and cherry blossom. Spring is the season, when I’m on standby and I make sure that I visit the most famous flower spots and take pictures just in the right time. But when is the right time? It’s not easy to tell, because it’s depends on the weather. Magnolia and Sakura are blooming quite at the same time, could start from the mid March but this year it started later, the first week of April. 1. MAGNOLIA AT VOTIVE CHURCH – SIGMUND FREUD PARK (The one on my pictures) Probably the most visited and busiest magnolia tree in Vienna. Every time I went there, there were always a lot of people taking photos. No wonder why. The beautiful pink magnolia flowers and the church combination are made this tree so iconic and beloved. It’s located in the Währingestraße – Straße des Achten Mai corner. 2. MAGNOLIA TREE STADTPARK This breathtaking tree is one of the largest and most beautiful tree in Vienna. It is located in the heart of Vienna, near the InterContinental Hotel. 3. SETAGAYAPARK – JAPANESE GARDEN It’s a tiny little park located in the 19. district in Vienna. It is designed by a japanese landscape gardener. Setagayapark emulates a Japanese landscape and it contains several garden elements that are typical of Japanese gardens. It even has a Japanese tea house, a “Yukimi style” stone lantern and a fountain as well. The purpose of this design is that “people should observe this work of art in tranquillity and try to find their own inner peace.”

📍Votivkirche ▫️Free admission ▫️Admission times vary by day I like to travel by walking, so I don't use public transportation much. The Votivkirche that I found by chance while walking boasted a beautiful view that could be called a sunset spot. 🫧 The sunset seen from the lawn park in front of the church was dazzling, but when I saw people picnicking in the park, I felt relaxed and healed! Oh, I want to come back with a mat.. It was such a peaceful atmosphere. In addition, the exterior of the church has the most Gothic feel of any building I've seen in Vienna! The interior of the church is also dazzlingly beautiful! There are stained glass windows inside the church, so when the sunlight shines, the entire church wall becomes colorful. The sight itself is amazing..🫢 It's near St. Stephen's Cathedral, so it's easy to visit on foot. #celebrateit A very beautiful church of neo gothic style. Highly recommend to visit it during a sunny day, because you will be so impressed by the lights show inside because of the light coming through the colorful windows of the church. An unforgettable memory that will make you freeze when looking at it. A good thing that this church is not that popular among tourists so there are always few people inside but to mind the church is underestimated.

The church is in neo-Gothic style, and it was built to thank God for saving the Emperor's life The idea of this church came to be when Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian wanted to celebrate his brother’s life, Emperor Franz Joseph. The emperor escaped an assignation attempt in 1853 and the Archduke wanted to celebrate that famous episode in history. The church today is in the Sigmund Freud Park. It has become our favorite church in Vienna—even over St. Stephen’s Cathedral. For one aspect, there are far fewer people visiting Votive Church. The high ceilings, arches, large organ and stain glass makes this church rather impressive. We thought, too, the plagues honoring German soldiers who died from this parish in WWI and WWII to be unique. If you have time, I don’t think you will be disappointed. And don’t miss the famous magnolia tree near the church

Being over shadowed by the nearby St Stephens Cathedral this church is no doubt less visited. Big mistake not to. If you like Baroque style finishing, this is a must see. Located a short walk from the town square it is certainly a place to sit quietly, enjoy the atmosphere and appreciate the works of art enclosed in the chapel. #vienna #Votivkirche

#Overseas flight event A neo-Gothic church In front, you can worship, and behind, you can take pictures, and every corner of the cathedral is as beautiful as an art gallery. It is said to have been built in 1853 by Emperor Franz Joseph. It is so beautiful and magnificent. The harmony of the sunset and the clouds and wind creates a wonderful night view.

Votivkirche in Vienna is highly accessible by public transport. The minute you step out of Schottentor station you see the church and it is beautiful at all hours. You can also enter the church to visit for free and they offer paid guided tours. The green park surrounding the church is also wide and spacious and good for picnicking. A must see in Vienna for all tourists!

The local attraction - Votivkirche is a Roman Catholic church with a neo-Gothic architectural style. It has beautiful and distinctive architecture. The area around the attraction is very lively and there are good restaurants nearby. Transportation Guide - The church is across the street from the exit of Schottenring subway station. Another attraction, the City Hall, is a 7-minute walk from the church. Walk for another 7 minutes from the Town Hall to the Volkstheater subway station, take two stops to Stephansplatz station, and you will reach the third attraction - St. Stephen's Cathedral. Vienna in the spring is beautiful! The flowers are in bloom and the weather is mostly sunny with clear skies. With the Easter markets opening this weekend, there is definitely lots to do for people of ages. The public transport is excellent and efficient, and the people around are generally very kind and helpful. 10/10 would come back here again to visit the many museums available
