2025 Sausalito Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)

This time, I took advantage of the sunny weekend and visited the famous restaurant in Sausalito, California, Salito’s Crab House & Prime Rib, with my friends to enjoy a sumptuous seafood feast. The restaurant is located on the waterfront of the Bay Area. When the weather is fine, you can sit in the outdoor seating area and enjoy the beautiful sea view while enjoying the food. The atmosphere is quite comfortable. We ordered several signature dishes this time, one of which is the Soft-Shell Crab Sandwich, which is served with golden fried crispy potato cubes and a small dish of tartar sauce. The visual effect of this dish is appetizing: the hamburger bun is baked soft and elastic, with a whole soft-shell crab fried crispy inside, and then topped with a lot of crispy shredded lettuce and sauce, with rich taste. Every bite can taste the delicious crab meat and the crispy skin, which is perfectly integrated with the sour aroma of tartar sauce. The potato cubes next to it are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it is very satisfying to eat with the sauce. Another main course is the handmade Shrimp Tagliatelle. This dish may seem simple, but it is made with solid effort. The fresh shrimp is plump and chewy, paired with homemade lasagna, which is chewy and smooth, absorbing the seafood sauce, which is rich but not greasy. Parmesan cheese and chopped herbs are sprinkled on the surface to add flavor and aroma, making people unable to stop eating. Of course, how can you miss their classic oyster platter when you come to Salito’s? We ordered half a dozen oysters, which were served on the table with a very delicate presentation, accompanied by ice cubes, lemon slices, and homemade vinegar onion sauce and horseradish sauce. The oysters are fresh and tender, with a strong seafood flavor but not fishy. Squeeze some lemon juice to make it more refreshing, especially suitable for enjoying in the hot summer. Each one is handled very cleanly, without sand, and it is very safe to eat. Several different hot sauces and pepper salts are also provided on the table, such as the classic Tabasco and special hot sauce, so that those of us who like strong flavors can also adjust the flavor by ourselves. For drinks, we only ordered ice water. After all, the freshness of seafood itself is enough and does not need too much interference. 💞Recommendation reason: Overall, Salito’s Crab House & Prime Rib is satisfactory in terms of food quality, plating beauty, and service attitude. The most impressive thing is the "authenticity of the sea flavor". Every dish makes people feel the natural sweetness from the ocean. So I rented a bike from Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals & Tours in downtown San Francisco and paid $42 for the 3-hour rental fee and ferry fare. 2️⃣ Riding a bike to the Golden Gate Bridge (Photos 4-7) Riding a bike to see the Golden Gate Bridge and riding a bike for about 40 minutes will take you to the entrance of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are quite a few uphill sections on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, but the scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't feel that difficult if you enjoy the scenery. 3️⃣ Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge (Photos 8-10) The Golden Gate Bridge is divided into a bike path, a car path, and a pedestrian path, so you have to choose your path carefully. You can also enjoy the sunset of San Francisco over the horizon while crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. 4️⃣ Sightseeing in Sausalito (Photos 11-13) When you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, you arrive at a small town called Sausalito. It was lovely because it had the atmosphere of a small town in southern Italy. It was really nice that they sold beer from the morning🍺 The next course was the Palace of Fine Arts! I didn't see the exhibits inside, but it was so cool to just take pictures outside📸 I got a lot of great shots😉 I took an Uber and saw the Golden Gate Bridge for a while before heading to Sausalito! Sausalito is the best place I've been to in San Francisco😌 A peaceful and quiet island that reminds me of a southern Italian city I've never been to💕 I found a cafe and had croissants and coffee🥐☕️ I also ate delicious ice cream and walked around the island☺️
