We chose The358 UMI for our recent stay in Fukuoka because it’s a relatively new hotel tucked away from the busy city center — perfect for a peaceful and laid-back getaway. The location in the suburbs gave us the quiet atmosphere we were looking for, and the ample parking space right at the entrance was a huge plus, especially since we were driving. The hotel is situated beside a few shopping malls, which we didn’t get the chance to explore, but it’s certainly a convenience for future visits. One of the highlights of our stay was the public bath facility, which was clean and very much appreciated after a long day of travel. We stayed in a family room, which was impressively spacious. The beds were plush and comfortable, and the room itself was spotless — clearly well-maintained. That said, one area for improvement would be the smoking area, which is located on the rooftop and is not sheltered. If you’re a smoker, just be prepared for the elements — I had to brave some pretty strong winds coming off the sea just to have a puff. It was freezing! Also, for travelers not planning to drive, the location might be a little inconvenient in terms of public transport. But if you have a car, it’s a wonderful escape from the city with modern amenities and a serene atmosphere. All in all, a very satisfying stay. (But if the bus stops on the main road, you have to walk a short distance to the hotel.) 💰Average price per person: The358 Umi is 2,600-3,000 baht per night, or if you have a higher budget, choose The358 Sora for about 4,000 baht per night. 🏖️Environment/Facilities: The hotel is quite new and clean. There are all the electrical appliances. Hair dryer, refrigerator, TV, change clothes for onsen, the bathroom has a hot tub, but the room is not very big. There are many seats downstairs. If you want to eat breakfast, you have to pay an additional fee. Behind the hotel, there is a shopping mall. Walk to the left, pass The358 Sora and turn around to the back. You will find a 100 yen shop. Next to it, there is a supermarket and many food shops. But the shop closes around 20:00. 💞Reason for recommendation: If you have to go to the airport in the morning or arrive at the airport late at night, you can stop by. The accommodation price is worth it if you exchange it for a convenient and fast trip to and from the airport. So you don't miss your flight. All facilities are complete. And you can go to the onsen to relax. ✅ Advantages: Near the airport, you can call a car to Fukuoka Airport for about 20-30 minutes. Suitable for those who stay to catch a flight back to Thailand on an early flight. There is a free onsen on the 10th floor. Nearby, behind the hotel is a large shopping mall. When I tasted melon bread on the terrace, I felt the small happiness of traveling. There was a vending machine and water purifier next to the terrace, which was convenient. After getting off the plane, I immediately rushed to Kyushu's famous ramen restaurant, Lai Lai Tei, and ordered a bowl of their signature tonkotsu ramen. The pork bones were rich and fragrant, the barbecued pork was big and delicious, and the two and a half soft-boiled eggs were also great. We stayed in a business hotel today.
