🇪🇸Madrid | One-day travel guide
I originally thought of Madrid as a place to rest after the flight, but I didn't expect that the clean and tidy streets and green shade everywhere, with both the solemnity of the capital and the daily relaxation, is a very comfortable city.
The city is not big, and you can visit the main attractions in one day. It is recommended to leave more time for the surrounding towns. Toledo and Segovia are both worth it!
🎯 Recommended attractions:
🌞Puerta del Sol
In the center of the city, there is the famous "Bear and Strawberry Tree" statue, which is small but iconic
🏛 Plaza Mayor
Another small square surrounded by red walls and arcades, with a lively atmosphere, suitable for taking photos or having a cup of coffee
🍤San Miguel Market
A delicate snack market with a full sense of design. Even if you are not hungry, it is recommended to go shopping. It is happy to look at it
⛪Our Lady of the Episcopal Church
The free church next to the Royal Palace, although not particularly spectacular, you can take a look
👑Royal Palace of Madrid
One of the best-preserved palaces in Europe, the interior is extremely luxurious and magnificent, and the chandeliers, murals, and armor exhibitions are all very shocking. Remember to book tickets on the official website a few days in advance. The square outside is also beautiful and suitable for taking photos
🌆Hotel Riu Observation Deck
On Gran Vía Street, the scenery is first-class but there are a lot of people, mainly in the restaurant area, not suitable for taking photos
🌿Ritz Park
An urban oasis in the city center, it is most comfortable to walk around in the evening before the sun sets. There are people rowing by the lake, and people playing piano on the grass, relaxing and romantic. The rose garden in June is also beautiful, remember to go early
🖼Prado Museum
A treasure house of Spanish art, with a very rich collection, featuring classic works by masters such as Goya, Velázquez and Rubens. Don't miss it if you like art
I didn't have high hopes for European food, but after eating, I sighed that Spain is worthy of being the "ceiling of European food"!
🥮 Álex Cordobés
A specialty store for Basque cakes, a little expensive but worth it. I strongly recommend the original flavor, which is dense, rich, and full of fragrance. The pistachio flavor is a bit too heavy.
🍫 Chocolatería San Ginés
Spanish classic combination: hot chocolate + churros, sounds like dark cuisine, but it is actually a soul match, 6.2 euros, no deception
🦐 La Taberna de Peñalver
A hidden little restaurant, ordered seafood rice, specifically asked for less salt + rice to be cooked a little, the taste is just right, the rice grains are full and tasty, highly recommended
🍷 Vinitus Gran Vía Restaurant
This restaurant is directly enshrined✨ Although it is a tourist restaurant, every dish is delicious, from appetizers to desserts, there are no thunder. The food is exquisite but the price is not outrageous, and the environment is also super plus, highly recommended!
