Our day trip to Glenorchy and Paradise was an unforgettable adventure. We started early, driving along the scenic road from Queenstown. The hike itself was a true highlight—lush forests, clear streams, and sweeping views of snow-capped peaks all around us made every step a joy. We felt completely immersed in nature, with the crisp mountain air and vibrant autumn colors enhancing the experience. As we continued on the trail towards Paradise, the landscape only got more spectacular. The area felt incredibly remote and peaceful, a perfect escape from the bustle of everyday life. From the small village of Glenorchy , drive for more than ten kilometers to reach the "Heavenly Town". Within a few miles, there is no human shadow to be seen, so why is it called a town? In fact, this is a private paradise-like pasture, where only cows and sheep leisurely graze. The people here live a life like hobbits, and it can be called a 200% pure natural place. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, primitive lakes and rivers flow underfoot, and there are ancient mountain birch forests. Everything you see is such a beautiful and picturesque natural landscape. You can say that this is a pure land on earth, or you can say it is a Middle-earth, any expression is not excessive. Because of this, several blockbuster movies have been filmed here, such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit, and so on. The tour guide is thoughtful and brings props from the movies, allowing tourists to enjoy the pleasure of taking photos in Hollywood blockbusters and having afternoon tea in a beautiful environment, how romantic.
