Alisa Garden Boutique Hotel in Bohol, Philippines It is about a 10-minute walk from the lively Alona Beach. The room is spacious, with wooden floors and very textured furnishings. There is a small balcony outside the room. There are lounge chairs and a pavilion with a Nanyang style next to the long swimming pool. Various flowers are planted around the building to create a garden. The lady boss is friendly and can speak Chinese. She will prepare fruits and fresh juice when you check in, as well as unlimited tea bags and biscuits, making you feel at home.

Getting There - airasia (not recommended) 1 hour 10 minutes flight time ( get delayed 4 hours on the flight going back to Mnl ) :( Attractions - Chocolate hills, tarsier sanctuary, balicasag island, virgin island, loboc river cruise Hotels - Bluewater panglao resort Food & Restaurants - The mist, molly bistro Bohol - great destination for people who like nature and relaxing your mind. I always wanted to visit bohol for a long time because it has everything i like : tropical beaches, green hills, beautiful river and friendly people. So I booked the hotel and air flight ticket just one week before going so its bit pricey , more than 5k for 2 way with only 7kg hand carry ( which i regret because i have to pay much more later when my hand carry excess weight :(() Hotels: I stayed the bluewater panglao resort, premier room with a bathtub for 4k per night, the room is located on the ground floor viewing the pool, it was amazing. i love the resort amenities, 2 beautiful large pools which very friendly to people who can’t swim like me. About the tour: I booked through LN travel on fb, but if you want to go island hopping just go to alona beach in the morning and ask for it. there are a lot of island hopping tours there that you can choose from for a discounted price since they’re looking for people to fill the slot. i paid 1200 for my tour included snorkel gear ( while the local only paid 900) :(( Island hopping tour include : dolphin watching, balicasag island snorkelling and virgin island. It’s a pity due to the weather we didnt see any dolphins that day. but snorkelling and seeing turtles in balicasag island were still fun. Countryside tour : 800 for a seat slot, you will have to pay entrance fee by yourself. so tarsier 100, chocolate hills 100, butterfly and python 100, loboc river cruise 850. so total cost around 2000 if you travel alone, kinda expensive. They said when you’re in Panglao, Bohol, MIST is a must try. This cozy hanging garden cafe and restaurant has left the best impressions! The place has a great ambience and every corner is instagrammable. It has an island tropical and industrial vibe, feels laid back and casual at the same time unique and innovative. However, when we arrived, the restaurant was about to close for diners. But we’re able to manage to order take outs and allowed to order for desserts only. Ordered their best-seller desserts. For some reasons, personally don’t like the taste and texture of of the chocolate cake, its kinda dry. Still, I wanted to visit this restaurant again soon to give full review of their food and service. I am still curious about this well-known restaurant in Panglao. Getting There - It’s about a 1.5 – 2 hour drive from Alona beach to Chocolate Hills, so make sure you’re prepared if going by scooter! Attractions - Chocolate Hills – One of the best places to visit in Bohol Visiting the Chocolate Hills is a must on your Bohol itinerary, and yes it’s a popular thing to do, but they are so unique! The Chocolate Hills are a geological formation and it’s said that they were created by limestone weathering and plate tectonic elevations in the ocean. Hotels - We recommend staying near Alona Beach on Panglao Island, this is where all the restaurants, shops and the main choice of accommodation is. Once you’re all settled it’s time to check out beaches and a cave Food & Restaurants - Loboc River is a must-see on your 3 day Bohol itinerary! The colours of the river will blow you away, we couldn’t believe this was the colour of the water. It’s very popular to catch a river cruise here which includes lunch (River Cruise price is around 500 pesos). We opted for a slightly different option after finding Food & Fables Cafe! Head straight here for some healthy Filipino lunch and you’ll have your own private area of the river to chill, swim and even SUP. Here’s the location – Food &#skiadventure Fables Cafe! Shopping - You’ll end your day in Tagbilaran City and we’d recommend checking out The Front Food Park to find some food. This place is very unique with its Guitar or Music-themed Restobar. They usually have live bands and performers every night. The place is very nice and cozy especially in the inside. We had the chance to acquaint ourselves with the owner outside his restaurant, because we are now living here. Thus, we have more time to explore the majestic beauty of Bohol. The place is a bit remote and a bit hard to find if you're riding a car. We had to park outside by the highway because the road was one way but if you are travelling by motorbikes or tricycles then it's very accessible. We found it very cute inside because it lived up to its cozy wooden atmoshpere that they have live plants and a cute but huge tree which they protected and blended into the place. You can totally bring your plantito and plantita friends here! Lastly, I recommend taking a seat to dine upstairs because you can have a very nice view of the whole area along with the perfect view to watch the performers. And also in upstairs you can find a cute japanese/korean/chinese style of seating because the owner is Chinese. He was very accommodating. As for the food, it's good for sharing and drinking. But if you're looking to have a meal, it's not much of a place for that although we did have our dinner there. A total 8/10!! 👌🏾💯#

My dad recently moved into Bohol and he already knows all the hidden gems and that includes these types of beaches. The place was like both a beach and a port. And the built shore pavement truly made it look like a natural pool, just look at it! I think I also fell inlove with Bohol. This is just one of the stops we did and unfortunately, I can't remember the specific name of this one. But it is surprisingly the best beach I've ever gone into. Although I couldn't remember the name of the place, I noticed it was also a resort on top of the shore so I'll update you guys if I find it. It's a very aesthetic place to soothe your mind and relax, and also Social Media-worthy. I can't put all the pictures we took here. But the overall place was full of beautiful places, pristine white beaches and good food that will make you wanna come back for more. It was very magical and I love the travel agency which is owned by my friend and we were given a humble discount and a free accommodation at their big house in Dauis. The warm water had completely swallowed the entire sandbar of Pungtud Island when our boat docked. My niece and nephew could not believe their eyes. For the first time ever, they saw a sandbar, a lengthy, white sandbar that extended to the shallow sea from a small island. Immediately, the kids hopped out of the boat, ran to along the sandy runway, and made little splashes along the way. More commonly known to tourists as Virgin Island, Pungtud Island lies in the middle of a relatively shallow area between Balicasag and Panglao Islands. It is always a crowd favorite because of its C-shaped naked sandbar. “It looks like a snake!” my nephew exclaimed, referring to the shape of the island. “Or a tadpole!” shouted my niece. It looks like so many things. A comma. A bent spoon. A hair follicle. A sperm cell. Name it. Unlike in Balicasag Island, there’s not much to do here other than bathe in the sun. One thing I like doing here, though, is to just sit or lie in the sand with my body half dipped in the shallow water. There’s not much space to swim around either because the island is surrounded by sea grass. It’s alright for snorkeling because there are some fish hiding underneath. But it can underwhelm visitors who just came from Balicasag. But in the itinerary, I’d like to think of Virgin Island as the “relaxing” part of the tour. You know, where you don’t make much effort to appreciate the sheer beauty of the surroundings. You just lie in the sand, make little splashes in the water, drink fresh buko juice, share stories with family or friends, and just have pure, relaxing, fun time. I had an epiphany when I took the O exam in '19, and here I am again in '24~ I really like their often-quoted slogan, 'Every new diver is another guardian of the ocean.' —————————————————— Currently, there are five Chinese-speaking coaches, and six who speak English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Australian. It's truly international, able to satisfy any language requirement for teaching. And the coaches are very handsome!! 🤿 My coach A Le is a trainer of trainers, a teacher's teacher, super nice, with a strong professional attitude, who seriously instills the idea of protecting the ocean in everyone, which is very meaningful. Of course, listening to Minnan dialect is not a problem either. 📖 I really must praise the teaching ratio of 1v2, who understands this! In my view, diving is about enjoying the process rather than just achieving a result, rejecting assembly line operations, rejecting crash courses, learning solidly, and being responsible for life is really important. 🐟 Even the class location is at Napaling, directly watching the sardine storm, a place everyone specifically signs up for at FD. (Pictures 1, 3, and 6) 🏠 The dive shop also has a guesthouse, and of course, there is a shuttle service for the entire course duration, so you don't have to worry about anything other than diving. I've put the pictures of the guesthouse at the end for everyone to refer to. The main selling point is cleanliness and tidiness~ 🧜🏻‍♀️ Fundive arrangements are also clear and straightforward. Actually, this trip was disrupted by a sudden ankle sprain, but the dive shop was very considerate and tried their best to re-plan according to my schedule. When everyone else couldn't book at Barikasa, I was lucky enough to snag a spot~~ Overall, the entire experience was very good! Professional and warm, loving every person I met during the diving trip.
