Michelin Bidden recommends Hong Kong fish delicacies
Located near the company, Yushizhe is one of the restaurants that was recently recommended by Michelin inspectors for the Bib Gourmand list. Because of the long-known fish snacks and fish noodles, my friend and I decided to go and give it a try.
Each dish is special, and there are many coriander foods, which made me order a lot of dishes 🤣
HK$79, the choice for coriander lovers ~ Coriander fish noodles, coriander noodles, coriander and chive fish skin dumplings. When the waiter put down the fish noodles, it was enough to make me happy. The coriander aroma is fragrant, the coriander fish noodles are soft and tender, the skin of the fish skin dumplings is crystal clear, and the filling of the noodles can be easily seen with the naked eye. It would be better if the cilantro flavor in the soup base was stronger.
-
+HK$29 3 pieces of garlic chicken wings ~ Each one is fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and even more delicious with the garlic flavor.
-
HK$11 4 pieces of coriander siomai (with soy sauce and chili oil) ~ Siomai with soy sauce and chili oil is always the best match, but it will not steal the taste of coriander
The fried shrimp balls and fish noodles are HK$101. The shrimp balls are fresh and chewy when you put them in your mouth. Paired with fish noodles and a special sauce, it tastes just like noodles.
In addition to traditional fish snacks and fish noodles, Yushizhe also has some unique dishes. For example:
HK$61.0 Fish-chos is dressed up as Mexican fish skin, but the Mexican version is fried fish skin, served with avocado and tomato, very appetizing. Even I, who usually resist eating fried fish skin, almost finished this dish. 🤪
-
HK$28 fish and chips with truffle sauce, this dish combines Eastern and Western flavors and is a pleasant surprise.
-
HK$28 Fried Fish and Dog Sausage (Honey Mustard) ~ The fried fish and dog sausage is marinated with a large amount of honey mustard sauce. It tastes like bouncing on a trampoline. It is embellished with popcorn and bacon crunchy bits, which makes the taste richer. It is very suitable to be paired with the HK$28 fragrant and bitter Kwai Fook beer IPA©.
-
+HK$14 Summer Chrysanthemum Monk Fruit Tea ~ It has a light floral and fruity aroma, moderate sweetness and sourness, and tastes very smooth. It is the best choice after eating delicious food.
-
The free fish hot sauce is the signature sauce of Yu Shi Zhe. It is moderately spicy and combined with the freshness of the fish, it is extremely delicious.
-
Overall, in addition to traditional fish snacks and fish noodles, Yushizhe also has some unique and innovative dishes that are surprising. Also, the service from the fishmonger was very considerate (he waited until my friend arrived before serving him a cold beer).
