National Textile Museum, divided into 2 floors with 4 different galleries. On the first floor, there is the Pohon Budi Gallery, which houses an exhibition of materials and textile manufacturing techniques since ancient times. Then at the Rainbow Gallery there is an exhibition of different types of batik as well as collections of textiles from the Chinese, and the Baba Nyonya community as well as textiles from Sabah and Sarawak. At Teluk Berantai Gallery you can see an exhibition of Malay textile motifs and others. In the last section, the Ratna Sari Gallery, there is an exhibition of traditional accessories used by the communities that exist in Malaysia. A lot can be learned at this museum, especially about the rich culture that exists in Malaysia. #2023travelwish Another must visit place in KL is Muzium Tekstil Negara a.k.a National Textile Museum situated next to Sultan Abdul Samad building and in front of Merdeka Square. We can learn and gain knowledge about nation's textiles industry and heritage like songket, batik, silk, embroidery, ethnic accessories etc. We have a great time here and all we can say is Malaysia have a beautiful patterns and motives arts inspired by flora and fauna. 🌺 🐅 🧳I wish to go to Sipadan Island Sabah next year as i want to enjoy beautiful view of the island and sea chorals.

Highlights: The National Textiles Museum is a very nicely arranged and well-preserved museum. There are a lots of explanation on history here. There are actual artifacts on display along with historical photos. The functional looms were a highlight for me. A bit dim light in some places but it is understandable as it will be required to preserve the original plant based colors. The workers here are helpful as well. The museum displays the development and changes of textiles in Malaysia over the past century, as well as Malaysia’s unique textile handicraft technology. The museum has more than 300 collections, divided into 4 exhibition halls to present ethnic textile art. The museum is free to enter, but only for locals. Foreign adults need to pay about $20HKD. If you are interested in the history of textile development and traditional clothing, you can see many treasures that can only be seen here in the museum, which will open your eyes. If you are not too interested, the museum is also one of the itineraries you can consider. The museum does not cover a large area and the visiting time will not be long. It is also located close to many famous attractions, so you can visit it along the way. .

First Stop: A Solemn Tribute to Unsung Heroes — National Monument (Tugu Negara) I took a Grab ride directly to our first destination—the National Monument, located within Kuala Lumpur's Lake Gardens. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I was struck by the sight of the massive bronze sculpture before me. Standing in the center of a fountain pool, the monument gleams with a bronze hue under the sunlight, exuding solemnity and grandeur. This monument was built to honor the heroes who sacrificed their lives during World War II and the Malayan Emergency. The sculpture features seven soldiers, each symbolizing leadership, suffering, unity, vigilance, strength, courage, and sacrifice. Standing before the monument, surrounded by tranquil greenery and water, the contrast with the bustling city center is striking. I strolled along the colonnade, gazing at the dome and inscriptions above, feeling a deep sense of reverence. Insightful for fashion enthusiasts and cultural needs however it lacks an exciting component since there are no interactive elements for visitors. The cafe and gift shop was closed unfortunately during our visit. The Management may consider including some dye making, making our own digital design, collaborative textile designing, etc. to add more fun and something that engages kids. RM5 was the entrance fee for foreigners.
