When you think of Dongdaemun, the famous Dakhanmari Street comes to mind, lined with renowned restaurants serving this dish. I recently visited a spot tucked away at the end of this street: 🐔 Sunhee Bindaetteok Dakhanmari Dongdaemun Branch 순희네빈대떡닭한마리 동대문점 This relatively new restaurant offers a single-serving Panmari (half-size Dakhanmari), so I decided to give it a try! 🎵 The restaurant is modern and spacious 😘, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive 🎵. Even if you opt for the Panmari (half-size), you still get the iconic "scissors-cutting" moment, perfect for snapping a photo 📸. The dipping sauce is prepared by the staff, who also guide you on how to enjoy the dish, making it beginner-friendly 🎵. The dish is loaded with vegetables, making it hearty and satisfying 💯. The meat is tender, and the tteokbokki and potatoes 🥔 are absolutely delicious 💞. The kimchi is flavorful, and you can even ask for refills, ensuring you leave completely full 🎵. This restaurant is a new branch of the famous Yukhoe and Jeon shop in Gwangjang Market, so you can also enjoy Yukhoe and Jeon here 🙌. No need to hop between Dakhanmari and Yukhoe spots anymore 🎵. If you're visiting with friends, try both dishes together ☺️. With plenty of seating, this place is highly recommended 🎵. I visited Byeolnaeok Seolleongtang in the Dongdaemun area 🎵 The restaurant was packed with Japanese customers from the morning 😘 I decided to try the Nejang Gomtang (intestine meat soup) for 16,000 won 😘 On the table, there were green onions, kimchi, and kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi). While waiting for a few minutes, I cut the kimchi with scissors 😘 Both the kimchi and kkakdugi were perfectly seasoned and delicious 💞 Soon, the Nejang Gomtang, filled with various cuts of meat, arrived 😇 After adjusting the flavor with salt and pepper, the soup turned out to be rich, warming, and absolutely delicious 🎵 The salt seemed to be rock salt, giving it a deep flavor 🥳 Next time, I plan to try the simpler Seolleongtang 🎵 Definitely give it a try 🎵 🚇️ Within walking distance from two subway stations 🐾 Subway Line 4: Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station Exit 5, 5-minute walk Subway Line 3: Dongguk Univ. Hello! ✨ If you go to Korea, you should definitely try this! I'd like to introduce "Chen Yuhwa Halme Original Dakgalbi" located in Dakgalbi Alley in Dongdaemun 😆 Dakkanmari means "whole chicken" in Korean, and is a hot pot dish similar to Mizutaki, in which a whole chicken is stewed ✨ Mix soy sauce, vinegar, sauce, and mustard to make your own sauce ^^ When you eat it with the sauce, the flavor of the chicken is further enhanced, and it's really delicious 🤤 The rice cakes in the tteokbokki are chewy and delicious, so I recommend ordering more ♡ The soup with chicken stock is also very delicious, so I recommend ordering the noodles (kalguksu) to finish off the meal! This time when I came to Seoul, I was shopping until midnight, so I temporarily found a place to stay near Dongdaemun Night Market. I chose the Joy Guest House which had a very high review, and it turned out to be a great experience! We arrived very late, but unexpectedly the boss replied to our message immediately. He was very friendly and always had a smile on his face. He even helped us carry our luggage to the third floor. This kind of service was really touching. Although the room is simple, it has all the necessary facilities, is clean and tidy, and is very comfortable to live in. Moreover, the environment here is not as noisy as accommodation in downtown areas. Instead, it has a more peaceful home feeling, which is really suitable for rest! Located within the grounds of Jangchungdan Park, this cafe offers a relaxing time in a typical Korean hanok style. The store has table seats and a raised floor, so I chose the raised floor style to enjoy the Korean atmosphere. Greek seasonal fruit Omicha Aid There are two types of Greek yogurt: one with seasonal fruit and one with persimmon. The yogurt is chewy and has just the right amount of sourness. It goes great with fruit, granola, and honey! Omicha Aid is a traditional Korean tea that changes flavor depending on your physical condition that day. I liked the sweet and sour taste. It's refreshing to drink, so I recommend it for the coming season. #MyTravelItinerary This is a trip to Seoul that I took on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the first day, I couldn't get a good time to catch the AREX (express train) to Seoul Station, so I just took the subway 🚇 I arrived at the hotel at 17:00, so I was tired from the trip and couldn't go around much... 🥲 I chose the hotel because of its location, WOO MI GWAN HOTEL, which is close to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun. There was a club below the hotel, so the noise at night was loud 😅 On the second day, I got up early in the morning and moved around from morning to night 🚶♀️ I was able to cover everything with the weather companion card, so I didn't spend much money on travel. On the third day, I got up early again and went to a cafe in the morning ☕️ I checked in in advance at Seoul Station, left my carry-on bag, and thought I would do my last sightseeing with ease, but here's what happened. I waited 90 minutes for advance check-in ⏰ (By the way, it was Jin Air.
