Beautiful park in Kunming, Yunnan. Loved the ducks and wildlife here. The green colour comes from the algae and the greenery of the lotus leaves. When they are in full bloom they are breathtakingly beautiful. It's a reasonably sized park, nice to walk around and get some fresh air. It's not that new so has a more authentic vibe than some of China's overly manicured parks. You'll see lots of locals strolling and enjoying themselves. Better know as the “Spring City” - Kunming offer you a nice scenarios to walk around and enjoy different and delicious food! go to Green Lake Park, have a nice afternoon day and get yourself a nice coffee. If you have time take a car and go to The Kingdom of the Little People, a theme park park featuring performers with dwarfism.

Green lake or Cui Hu park is a beautiful urban park in the center of downtown Kunming. It is a park of several large lakes, which have different classical chinese water plants on them, such as lily pads, lotus plants, bamboo and trees. This park was about 10 minutes walk from our hotel and is right next to Yunnan university. It was free to enter and a really nice place to walk around, there are many souvenir, food and drink shops around the park, and different areas to explore with some small pagodas and temples. There is also a small museum about tap water within the park which was sadly closed. My favourite part of the park was the bamboo forest, with several types of bamboo which stretched up into the sky and hung down over the path making it shady even in the middle of the day it was an incredible effect to walk through. A great place to take an afternoon stroll in Kunming. #passionpassport

Green Lake Park is located in Wuhua District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, opposite the main entrance of Yunnan University, covering an area of ​​352 acres. It is called "Green Lake" because of its green water on all sides, green bamboo all year round, and green willows in spring and summer.
