With the Golden Gate Bridge peeking through the afternoon haze and seagulls wheeling overhead, it was one of those effortlessly perfect days where the city’s charm felt alive in every sight, sound, and flavor.

Compared to other popular attractions in San Francisco, Fisherman's Wharf has fewer tourists, less hustle and bustle, and more calmness. Strolling along the pier, the azure blue sea view with the distant silhouette of the Golden Gate Bridge and the gentle sea breeze are particularly soothing. There are many specialty shops, from handicrafts, vintage groceries to seafood restaurants, and each shop hides a surprise. There are no crowds here, so you can stop and watch the seagulls circling, or sip coffee and enjoy a slow time. Pier 39 in San Francisco is a popular trendy spot in Fisherman's Wharf. In the 1960s, it was transformed from a dilapidated pier into a tourist attraction. Today, it is full of shops, restaurants and wild sea lions. It is extremely lively! These sea lions have occupied the pier since the 1989 earthquake. They bask in the sun and roar every day. They are so cute and healing that they have become the living signboard of this place. Want to eat seafood? Dungeness crab, clam chowder and freshly baked bread bowls are must-orders. Eating while looking at the sea will make you feel extremely happy! There are also street performers and carousels here, full of retro fu~ Strategy online! There are many people during the day, so it is recommended to arrive early to see the sea lions first and then go shopping, and take a bunch of cute photos. There are cruise ships available at the pier, and you can see the Golden Gate Bridge in half an hour. It's great value!
