Autumnal vibes at Yufuin

Spend a leisurely day at Yufuin, where quaint olden days vibes with fairy tale villages. Take a walk down to Kirin Lake for the autumnal foliage, and shop your way back to the station. With plenty of snacks and trinkets along the way, it is recommended to stay over at one of the many hot springs inns the night before and have an early start before the day trippers descend. Tip: The ever popular Yufuin no Mori express train can be booked on JR Kyushu site a month in advance. Be warned that the system usually hangs in the morning from when tickets are released.
