Gotokuji Temple, the shrine of the lucky cat

From Shinjuku Station, take the "Odakyu Line" for a 15-minute ride to "Gotokuji Station." A 10-minute walk will take you to the temple. The route passes through a quiet residential area, which is also a school zone, so please avoid making loud noises to respect the local residents. ☺️ Once inside the temple, look for the lucky cat area (a small section). The actual display area for the lucky cats is not very large 🐱, and taking photos will take about 10–15 minutes. On-site, you can purchase various sizes of lucky cats, omamori (charms), goshuin (temple stamps), ema (wooden prayer plaques), and more.
