Pacific Hotel Deluxe Twin Room

When you look at Namsan Seoul Tower from Myeongdong Main Street, this hotel immediately catches your eye. As a result, whenever you take a photo in Myeongdong, the name of this hotel often appears in the background. This hotel has been a long-standing landmark in Myeongdong, and I finally decided to visit it. I booked a Deluxe Twin Room, which has been recently renovated, and was lucky enough to be assigned a room with a Namsan Tower view (lucky). Located just a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Myeongdong Station, it used to be a popular accommodation for foreigners. However, it is now very quiet and serene. The building's exterior and facilities reflect its age, but the Deluxe Room has been updated with modern designs, furniture, and bathrooms. However, the heating and cooling systems and windows still retain their old-fashioned charm. I’ve experienced similar vibes at other renovated hotels like Lotte World Hotel and Ambassador Seoul Pullman. It seems to be a common result of partial renovations without demolishing the building. The Tower View rooms here are closer to Namsan Tower compared to other hotels in the Myeongdong area. Additionally, they offer a unique view of the rooftop of the Animation Center, providing an interesting sight. You can greet characters like Dooly and his friends, as well as Taekwon V. The windows can be fully opened, the room is spacious, and there are plenty of seating options, making it suitable for group stays. On the first floor, there’s a Hollys Coffee café, and a GS25 convenience store is located right in front, adding to the convenience. Breakfast is not provided, so I opted for a McMorning instead.
