Mani Wong Temple, Nakhon Nayok

Wat Mani Wong is a temple of the Mahanikaya sect. Currently, the abbot is Phra Athikarn Thongbai. 🔱 Highlights: Phra Rattanamani Maha Badan, a large golden Buddha statue standing out among thousands of nagas. Those who believe in the supernatural should not miss worshiping and praying. Wat Mani Wong was established in 1903 and received the royal charter of the boundary markers in 1948. The chapel was built in 1953 and is a golden chapel. The interior is striking with carved patterns. The walls enshrine Luang Pho Sivali, the principal Buddha image. Religious objects include a seated Buddha image in the Pali Laiyika posture on a stone boulder with both feet on a lotus flower. The left hand is face down and the right hand is face up. There is an elephant kneeling with its trunk holding a water jug, and on the other side is a monkey holding a honeycomb. This posture is for people born on Wednesday nights. The temple with a large golden Buddha statue is called Luang Pho Pan Lan or Phra Phuttarat Mani Si Hathai Naresuan. Every pillar of the temple has a dragon statue.
