It has been held annually on the Theresienwiese in the Bavarian capital since 1810 (with cancellations due to wars or pandemics) and is an important economic factor for the city. Date is mid-September to early October. It’s opened again for the first time in 3 years!

Gigantic Beers at Oktoberfest 啤酒節 Munich

Sofia sees the world

Oktoberfest is the famous beer festival being hosted in Munich. After two years of absence, a lot of people were waiting for it and flying in to be part of it. The main part if of course the famous 1 liter beer with music, Bavarian sausage & cheese board, grilled chicken, pretzels and Kaiserschmann. But also the theme-park experience. Kids are also allowed in. Just keep in mind. It is hard to get into the “Zelt”, the beer tents, so go early (opens from 10am) and bring no heavy luggages and backpacks with you (not allowed). The beers sold there are stronger than usual beer by 1-2% alcohol volume, so don’t pace too much for the best experience! #bucketlistreboot #beertrip
