The trip started at Flinders Street Station, and the classic buildings and the modern Federation Square right in front strangely matched each other, showing the charm of the city. Going a little further in, Hosier Lane unfolded. The street art covering the walls changed every time, making it feel like a living gallery, and the alleys were full of people taking pictures. Melbourne is famous for its cafe culture, so the moment of drinking a flat white in a small cafe hidden in an alley was special. The State Library of Victoria had an overwhelmingly beautiful dome-shaped reading room, and the Melbourne Museum allowed me to see the city’s history and culture at a glance. In the afternoon, I took a leisurely walk along the Yarra River and felt the leisure of the city. I headed to St. Kilda Beach around sunset. The red sky and sea filled the end of the day with romance.
