Avignon, with its majestic Palais des Papes and half-vanished bridge, felt like a step back in time. Marseille’s Old Port and coastal views were stunning, while Mulhouse surprised me with its charming squares and impressive railway museum. Booking TGV tickets in advance saves money, and RER trains are the best way to navigate Paris. France’s rail system is efficient, but always check strikes—this is France, after all!
