It is one of the 9 Chom Phra That sites and is considered an important religious landmark in Chiang Rai. 📒 According to legend, a revered monk once traveled to this location to preach Buddhism to the locals. He stayed until dawn, and the place became illuminated with light. The monk entrusted an elderly man, who was practicing Dharma and guarding the site, with a sacred relic. The relic was enshrined in the Phra That, completing the construction. Locals then began calling this site Phra That Chom Chaeng. 🚙 Getting there is convenient, whether by private car or public transportation. You can take the Chiang Rai-Mae Khachan or Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai bus routes and get off at Mae Suai District. From there, you can walk directly to the temple.
