For those with average stamina, highly recommend taking the cable car to Sanhuangzhai then hiking up further. The Book Cliff is stunning, and the cool mountain air makes exercise pleasant～) Accommodation: Holiday Inn Express Dengfeng (great off-season value, huge rooms) Dining: Braised noodles at Shaolin Temple (terrible) + nearby restaurant (ordered Yellow River carp, eight-treasure rice bowl, lamb stewed noodles - average taste) Day4: Itinerary: Songyang Academy in the morning (only a 4,500-year-old ancient tree is worth seeing) ➡️ Longmen Grottoes in the afternoon (recommended for night visit, the Vairocana Buddha is magnificent, scenic area well-maintained with minimal commercialization, highly recommended📍) ➡️ Lijing Gate at dusk (very boring commercial street, but good for affordable souvenirs. Bought 2 colorful ceramic horses for 15 yuan as gifts, decent value) Accommodation: Returned to Day 1 hotel Dining: Beef stewed noodles (personally prefer over lamb version) Day5: Itinerary: Luoyang Museum in the morning (free, requires advance booking, offers free volunteer guides) ➡️ Guanlin Temple in the afternoon Dining: Randomly picked restaurant, shocked by Henan's low prices again 🌟During off-season, only Luoyang Museum requires advance booking - other attractions sell tickets on-site. Henan has low prices, food expenses won't be high. Saw many girls getting Tang Dynasty makeup - unique and adorable😍 Overall great travel experience～
