A place where quiet emotion dwells – The British Library

#July Travel Support Fund Located next to St. Pancras Station in the north of London, the **British Library** was a place where books, thoughts, and the flow of time were piled high. When you pass through the entrance, the first thing that catches your eye is the King’s Library Tower surrounded by glass walls. This tower, where thousands of books from King George III are arranged in layers, gives a sense of ‘sacredness’ to the space called the library. In front of it, the reading space was filled with the breaths of those quietly reading books. Inside the library, there is a Treasures Gallery that anyone can enter for free. Inside it, there is the original Magna Carta, Leonardo da Vinci’s manuscripts, an early edition of Shakespeare, the Gutenberg Bible, and even the Beatles’ handwritten lyrics… It was a truly special experience to quietly encounter great moments in world history in a small room. #Places to visit in London #London travel
