Find medieval treasures in London

Like most people I visited this church after watching the movie The Da Vinci Code starring Tom Hanks, it was the meeting place of the Knights Templar and where the tombs of the Knights are buried. As you walk into this church built by the Knights Templar, you can almost feel that it dates back to the 12th century. Despite the incredible damage caused by German incendiary bombs in 1941, it has been lovingly restored. Hold your breath as you walk among the portraits of some of the most important members of the Knights Templar, who lie here with their swords in the stone in their hands. I was able to climb the narrow stone steps to the triple arcade and admire the church’s original Minton tiles, as well as the portraits from the top. This church is truly a hidden gem.
