Pen y Fan, South Wales’s highest peak!

Wales is home to some absolutely breathtaking and stunning scenery. From Eryri in the North to the Brecon Beacons in the South, the breadth and depth of the mountains, valleys, beaches and other natural wonders on show can only be marvelled at. It’s here, on a cold and drizzly New Year’s Day, that I find myself on Pen y Fan, the tallest mountain in South Wales’s Brecon Beacons. Popular with walkers of all levels of experience, the mountain is also popular with the military who undertake their training here. The terrain is spectacular on both sunny and rainy days. Sadly, my views were limited at the top of the mountain due to heavy fog and cloud cover. But the views on the way more than made up for it.
