Half-Day Trip to Leshan—A Culinary Delight in Leshan

Our group spent just over an hour exploring the Leshan Giant Buddha. On regular days, the area isn’t too crowded. Whether viewing the Buddha’s head or feet, the angles are equally awe-inspiring. For those who find walking challenging, you can opt to buy a boat ticket and admire the grandeur of the Buddha from the water, which offers a completely different perspective. As we walked along, the surrounding scenery was stunning. The lush mountains and forests, coupled with the fresh air, made us feel incredibly refreshed. There were also small shops selling local snacks. We tried the local tofu pudding and cold jelly noodles, and the flavors were absolutely top-notch! What left the deepest impression on me was standing at the Buddha’s feet and feeling an intangible sense of power, as if the Buddha was truly guarding this place. Everyone instinctively fell silent, appreciating the solemnity, and a sense of reverence naturally arose in our hearts. After the visit, we took a taxi to a local hotpot restaurant recommended by the driver. We enjoyed authentic dishes like tender beef slices and also bought some sweet-skinned duck from a nearby shop to eat. This time, the Sichuan cuisine was surprisingly not too spicy but still incredibly flavorful! I hope to have the chance to come back with friends next time to explore more beautiful sights and delicious food!
