The Reclining Buddha & Thai Massage School

Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, also known as Wat Pho (or Wat Po) is not far from the Grand Palace and houses a gold Reclining Buddha, 15 meters high and 46 meters long, built in 1832. They say is is good luck to leave coin offerings in the temple, and you can purchase a bowl of coins inside and drop them in the offering bowls. Wat Pho also houses the School of Thai Medicine, which is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, so don’t forget to get a massage to unwind and cool off after touring the complex. #thailand #bangkoktravel #watpho
