Join the 6-day Namar Peak climbing tour in Western Sichuan and take on the challenge! → Itinerary Overview: Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu Arrive in Chengdu, enjoy free time, and prepare for your adventure! Day 2: Chengdu—Kangding—Xinduqiao—Zimei Pass—Zimei Village (3200m) Depart for Zimei Village, with a brief stop at Zimei Pass. If the weather is clear, you can enjoy views of Mount Gongga and a distant glimpse of Namar Peak. Day 3: Zimei Village—Gongga Monastery (3700m)—Base Camp (3900m) Begin the challenge of climbing the 5588-meter Namar Peak. At Gongga Monastery, admire Mount Gongga, and trek through snow-capped landscapes and glaciers to reach the base camp at the foot of Namar Peak. Day 4: Base Camp—C1 Camp Depart from base camp around 10:00 AM. As the altitude increases, the terrain transitions to scree slopes. After crossing a large grassy slope, arrive at C1 Camp, located in a mountain hollow at the foot of Namar Peak. Though the distance is short, the entire route involves uphill climbing. Day 5: C1 Camp—Ice Wall—Summit (5588m)—Gongga Monastery—Zimei Village Reach the 5588-meter summit, hone your climbing skills, challenge yourself, and experience the allure of snow mountains. Day 6: Zimei Village—Zheduo Mountain—Chengdu Depart from Zimei Village, cross the picturesque Zheduo Mountain, and return to bustling Chengdu, concluding this unforgettable snow mountain journey. Namar Peak Equipment Checklist: 1. Sleeping bag: Down sleeping bag with at least 1000g fill (available for rent); 2. Backpack: One 60L+ backpack for horse transport; one 30L backpack for personal carry; 3. High-top waterproof hiking boots (high-altitude boots available for rent if needed); 4. Fully waterproof hard-shell jacket and pants; 5. One set of fleece clothing for warmth; 6. One lightweight down jacket; 7. One heavy down jacket (available for rent), with at least 200g fill and waterproof fabric; 8. Two sets of thermal underwear, one as a backup; 9. Mountaineering glasses or snow goggles with UV protection index of 240+; 10. Down pants strongly recommended for warmth at camp (temperatures are low from April to October); 11. One pair of trekking poles and one pair of gaiters; 12. Headscarf and high-SPF sunscreen; 13. Two pairs of gloves, one thick and waterproof, one thin; 14. Two hats: one warm cotton hat and one sun hat with a brim; 15. Insulated water bottle (700ml+ recommended); 16.
