Brunch in JB

I took a bus from Singapore to Johor Bahru for a short day trip. Once I arrived, I went to Pacific Kopi for brunch—chose it over Oriental Kopi because I really wanted to try their fried nian gao. We ended up ordering quite a spread: fried nian gao, coffee with gula melaka, chicken steak with salted egg sauce, and mala dried mee pok. Everything turned out to be really satisfying. The salted egg sauce was just right—not overwhelming like it sometimes can be. And the mala flavor in the dried mee pok really came through, giving it a nice kick. The coffee with gula melaka was a highlight too—creamy, sweet, and ice-cold. It was perfect for the hot weather in Johor Bahru. After brunch, I wandered around the neighborhood for a bit, snapped a few photos, and enjoyed the laid-back vibe. It was a simple, tasty, and refreshing little getaway.
