This understated provincial capital offers affordable prices and a wealth of delicious food—enough to make you gain five pounds in just two days!!! Beyond the food, don’t miss the city’s diverse and unique temple architecture, as well as the bilingual Mongolian-Chinese street signs everywhere, which are full of character! A weekend citywalk in Hohhot is totally doable.
