First, let me share the overall itinerary of this free & easy trip👇 Shanghai✈️Lijiang - Baisha Ancient Town/Dayan Ancient Town - Yunlong Snow Mountain - Shuhe Ancient Town - Dali - Shuanglang Town - Dali Ancient City - Longkan Dock - Xizhou Ancient Town - Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple - Cycling around Erhai Lake🚄Kunming - Feeding seagulls at Dianchi Lake✈️Shanghai . Day❶ Lijiang🚖Shuanglang Town, Dali Shuanglang is personally considered the most beautiful and worthwhile place during my Dali trip, with many seaside cafes and B&Bs. In winter, you can feed seagulls right by the windowsill🐦 We stayed at Liuyue Wusuo - the room amenities and butler service were great, plus there's a super atmospheric💯 swing in the common area perfect for sunrise viewing Originally planned to explore Shuanglang in the afternoon, but the B&B was so beautiful we ended up taking tons of photos there 😋 Dinner: Mushroom Fresh 🏠 Accommodation: Liuyue Wusuo, Shuanglang . Day❷ Shuanglang - Dali Ancient City ✨ Morning ✔️ Liuyue Fushi ✔️ Shanjian Coffee ✔️ Lyon Seaview Coffee (The famous swing everyone asks about is here, but prices seem unreasonably high recently - consider carefully🤔) 😋 Lunch: Next Door Old Wang Stone Grill (not great) ✨ Afternoon Headed to Dali Ancient City and coincidentally caught the March Street Market (held weekly) 🏠 Accommodation: Jiwu Inn 😋 Dinner: Hesheng Achang Bai Ethnic Stone Grill The owner claims to be Dali's first stone grill restaurant (not verified), with many celebrities having dined here. The flavors absolutely crushed the lunch spot‼️ Must-tries: glutinous rice lotus root, molten tofu, and beef cubes‼️ . Day❸ Longkan Dock - Xizhou Ancient Town - Chongsheng Temple ✔️ Longkan Dock (detailed sunrise guide in previous📒) ✔️ Xizhou Ancient Town (not very scenic in winter with just rice seedlings in fields🌾) ✔️ Chongsheng Temple (surprisingly fun, and famous temples always leave me feeling refreshed😂) 🏠 Accommodation: Jiwu Inn 😋 Dinner: Mengzi Small Yellow Beef Rice Noodles (So! Good!) . Day❹ Erhai Lake - Kunming ✨ Morning: 🚖 to Xindi Coffee, cycling around Erhai Lake ✨ Afternoon: 🚄Kunming 😋 Dinner: Gada Canteen . Day❺ Kunming✈️Shanghai Woke up naturally and went to feed seagulls at Dianchi Lake. Maybe due to bad weather, there weren't many feeding, but by 2pm there were still lots of seagulls at Haigeng Dam 😋 Lunch: Yongchang Fire Pot Beef .
