Sobaeksan via Eouigol Valley

#summervacay Hiked up Sobaeksan through the Eouigol Valley trail and honestly, it was one of the most peaceful hikes I’ve done in Korea. The whole vibe is just calm, less people, more nature, and this super chill forest energy all the way up. The trail winds through tall trees, streams, and some mossy rock areas that look straight out of a Studio Ghibli scene. It’s a long-ish hike, but the incline is pretty manageable. It’s more about endurance than steep climbs. The higher you go, the cooler it gets, literally and visually. By the time you get near the summit, you're above the clouds (on a good day), and it feels unreal. Like you’re standing on the roof of the world. Eouigol Valley is definitely the scenic route, and perfect if you’re into quiet trails and soaking in nature without racing to the top. Pack some snacks, pace yourself, and let the mountain do its thing. Sobaeksan’s a total vibe.
